I help our Oil & Gas clients by using my experience to obtain risk-based closures that protect the environment while reducing project costs in a sustainable way.

My most rewarding Oil & Gas project was working for a large power plant portfolio in South Texas where none of the initial project management planning included using a risk assessor from a Texas office. It was rewarding because after being included on the project team, my work leveraging the Texas Risk Reduction Program regulatory guidance for the client eliminated 98% of the affected properties from further action and saved several million dollars of initial projected remediation costs.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is finding a way to use risk assessment to turn an unfavorable environmental situation into a positive site closure while still being protective of human health and the environment.

My personal philosophy about the work I do is that risk assessment is like a puzzle to find the right balance of data/science, client advocacy, and environmental protection within the regulatory guidelines; it needs to be part of the project planning from the start to contribute successfully to site closure.

My most important professional accomplishment is completing over 100 regulatory closures/approvals for sites where risk assessment was an integral part of the process.
