Regulatory expert creates advanced risk-based solutions for site closures

Denver, CO (January 15, 2024) – Abigail (Abby) Campbell has joined GEI Consultants as Senior Human Health Risk Assessor. With more than 25 years of extensive experience working under numerous state, federal, and provincial regulatory programs in the United States, Canada, and South America, she brings a client-focused approach to identifying solutions for contaminated site closure.

“Abby’s approach to risk assessment and site closure will be a strong addition to GEI’s risk assessment practice as we continue to execute larger, more complex projects,” says Joseph Roman, LSP, Environmental Division Manager with GEI. “She will also leverage her passion and demonstrated success in mentoring and developing staff to help grow the GEI risk assessment practice.”

Abby’s focus has been on developing and applying risk-based approaches, in particular with regulatory programs in the state of Texas. This extensive experience positions GEI to expand within the Texas market to offer clients inventive risk-based solutions for site closure and allow for cost effective strategies to address affected environmental media.

“I’m so excited to join GEI, where the cultural focus on collaboration and innovative project solutions align perfectly with my own goals,” says Abby. “The risk assessment group at GEI has so many talented professionals, and I’m looking forward to working with them to grow the group’s presence across the country and beyond.”

Abby holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech.
