Senior Project Manager Karen Stackpole Joins GEI’s Glastonbury Office

GEI Consultants Inc., one of the nation’s leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that Karen Stackpole has joined the GEI team as a Senior Project Manager.

Karen’s previous experience includes more than 20 years of environmental and natural resource experience conducting regulatory compliance, planning, and permitting in power, federal, state and transportation markets.  Previously, she was the environmental field manager on a 265-linear mile utility project in Nevada; and she directed the day-to-day environmental monitoring program for the International Border Fence constructed between the United States and Mexico, which extended over 500 miles from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California.

Karen will be supporting coastal and inland projects at GEI with permitting, regulatory compliance, resource planning, natural resources surveys including threatened and endangered species, habitat assessments and wetland delineations.

Karen holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Southern Connecticut State University. She also has earned the following certifications: OSHA 40-hr Hazwoper Certified (since 1994), OSHA 30-hr Construction Training, MSHA Mine Safety Training, US Fish and Wildlife Service Mexican Spotted Owl Permit Holder, and has completed Wetland Delineation Training.
